Ive used tumbl for a while now. Have made a long break and recently came back to it. Now one of the new things that I fonud was this thing called Tumblarity. Now I am not aganist these kind of things.
As many other people, I like all things statistics and find it a fun way to discover new stufff by browsing the country statistics, top tumblogs etc.
But how does it actually work? I mean… sometimes I post quite a bit, pictures, quotes, text, etc. maybe even ge a new follower and still my tumbl score goes down the next day. Duh.
I run a couple websites that I do to make a profit. I am NOT on tumblr for this, its just a personal outlet as I really like the interface and the whole sommunity feature. So I do not really care for tumblarity or being at the top of my country. Well, if iot happens, I wouldn’t mind either :) but that’s not the point. I am just curious how tumblarity is actually derived? How can some people ave 40,000? That’s just crazy.
And one more thing: On the Activity Dashboard, what the heck is the Tumblarity score showing. Within one day it will change scores maybe 4 times for me going from “-3 since yesterday” to “+8 since yesterday” back to “+4 since yesteday”….wtf is going on here.
And finally: Also on the Activity dashboard, what is the “This Week” supposed to mean? I mean, it looks to me that all the numbers are accumulated more and more, it has nothing to do really with my posts “this week”. Am I missng sth here?
